I think you have to update to the latest U-Boot.  One of the important
things it fixed was a memory refresh error which can manifest itself in
mysterious ways.  The other thing you may want to do is check and
save the U-Boot environment, the location of the image looks funny.
Check this mailist archive regarding the flash image and Uboot thread.
