maybe gcc is not in the path.  Try to :

1st: $which gcc
it will tells you where the executable is
2nd : $locate gcc
it will search for you where every gcc is

maybe you could install the build native package : $opkg install task-native-sdk

Subject: [Gumstix-users] Compiling a hello world program


I installed gcc with opkg
opkg install gcc
Package gcc (4.5-r37.1+svnr170880.9) installed in root is up to date.

But if i try to compile helloworld it says gcc doesn't exist
root@omap3-multi:~# gcc hello.c
-sh: gcc: command not found

What am i missing?
