I'm interested in using the GumStix SBC and WiFi module to relay remote-processed control data to my robot close to real-time. Basically, I'm running a brain simulation on my host computer that sends and receives Robotis servo commands. I would like to set this up wirelessly and have good enough speed to get soft real-time performance.

Roughly, I need to send approximately 500 Bytes of data back and forth in 5 ms. Does anyone know if the GumStix SBC's have any latency issues using WiFi?
