P.S. I'm executing "ifup usb0", hopefully thats correct. None of the other interfaces listed in /etc/network/interfaces come up after plugging in the dongle.

I have a feeling that it needs the rt73 driver. I seem to recall going
down this path and wound up taking back my LinkSys and getting an
older D-Link one that used the rt25xx chip.
