First of all. Not all uSD cards are created equal L
Many will work fine with you MP3 player but suck as overo devices …
I believe Steve Sakoman has a list of cards he has tested on his web site.
He also has a script that will automatically create a bootable card for you.
BTW I assume the com boot from NAND (ie without the uSDcard installed) ??

Hello Gumstix Users,
I have a new Gumstix Overo Tide board with a 2GB microsd card. I am attempting to use it with a Summit expansion board. I attempted to follow the getting started guide but I run into a problem when I connect the board to my computer via the console port, nothing shows up in Ubuntu 11.04. If I connect the my board to power, the red and green LEDs turn on but still nothing on my computer. I have followed http://gumstix.org/create-a-bootable-microsd-card.html this guide to create a bootable microSD card and tried it about five times on a few different cards but the device will not boot and shows nothing on the HDMI output. Does anyone have any ideas on what I may be doing incorrectly?
Thank you for your help and your consideration,
