Hello Gilles,
I'm very interesting in use the Omap3 Power Management funcionalities (for Overo), and in special the cpufreq-utils (cpufreq-set). But I don't know how to do that.
- How can I pull the kernel from a different repository to my build environment?
- What's the different between these kernels images and a 'normal' kernel compilation? any special configuration in the defconfig file or anithing different?
Sorry, I'm novice in these terms

Subject: [Gumstix-users] linux-omap-pm 2.6.32

Dear all,

I am trying to get 2.6.32 from Kevin Hilman's branch working on my overo board. I would like to avoid using bitbake to compile the kernel, I am just pulling the tree from Kevin's GIT repository.

When I use overo_defconfig, and build the kernel, after kernel gets uncompressed, I do not get any output whatsoever. Has anyone succeeded in getting a linux-omap-pm 2.6.32 kernel to run on overo?

If so, can you please provide the patches/correct defconfig?
