Not to worry. That is what it will say just before it boots from the uSD card.

It means that it couldn’t find an operating system in NAND to boot from, I believe …

Subject: [Gumstix-users] Bad CRC or NAND, using default environment

Hey guys,

When I bootup my Overo Air COM on my Stagecoach, I get the following message:

*** Warning - bad CRC or NAND, using default environment

Our ESD workstation mats did not arrive yet, and I'm worried we already shocked the board.  Is this a normal message?  I'm also not able to send any characters thru minicom to the gumstix.  I'm not sure if this is related or not.  Is there a way to fix the NAND issue?  Is there some kind of an ECC algorithm on there that will fix my issue?
