Probably you should use powered hub. The OTG power supply can 100 mA only.

Subject: [Gumstix-users] Connecting USB hub to Overo fire board

Hi all,

I am trying to connect a USB hub to the gumstix overo fire board to use my keyboard and mouse.  From the Getting Started instructions, I need to connect the hub to the OTB USB output, but when I do this the hub does not work.  I was trying to use a mini-B to mini-B (from the output of the board to the input of the hub) but this does not work.

The instructions say that I MUST use a mini-A to mini-B cable (which I don't have.. I could get this but would it work with my hub given that the b input does work?), or a mini-B to standard A cable.  Would the second configuration work if I used the mini-B out from the board, and a female-female gender changer, so essentially I'd be using two mini-B to standard A cables?

Thanks
