I'm working on a polish translation of the VLC player.
I used the polish version of MPC to test some translated text (BIG thanks to MPC!)
BTW: the polish version is still missing on the sourceforge.net page!
VLC: The VLC player has a language selection in the option tab inside the player. It is easy to switch between the languages cuz its all-in-one!
MPC: I must use separate versions of MPC to test the language differences! Sometimes it hangs up when i have too many different MPC running!
Is it possible to write a string to the options menu that switches between the supported languages? (like the VLC language selection) Would it be difficult to take the translated strings from other translated MPC 18.104.22.168 and integrate it the the basic version? only one more tab in the options menu of MPC. Put it only to the source so MPC will still be the one-exe-player !
It is really nasty if you are offline and have the wrong version on your disk!
And i noticed that most of the translated MPC use an own installer. Mostly NSIS and only one language. But why is the official MPC not also released with a NSIS installer? I just testing NSIS and you can activate easily your supported languages there.
This could make MPC more multilingual and the translations should become official.
So, the developers could be better contacted each other. Is there already a maintainer list for translations?
This would make MPC even better!!!
