I've been trying to set MPC as my default player on Vista but to no avail. I've tried setting it via the control panel, right click/properties, but nothing works. When they ask me what I wish to set as the default program, I click browse and then on MPC, and then OK but Vista fails to register it and quite obstinately insists on keeping my default as either Media Player or Centre. Other than those two, I can choose any media player I have installed, VLC, Real, Quicktime, anything but MPC. It's pretty frustrating when all I want to do is doubleclick a file to watch it. Now I have to open MPC first and then browse through.
