Hi!

I've never had many problems with MPC before and
congrats on an excellent video player!

However, on my laptop and on at least one other PC,
when MPC is playing a video full-screen, after about 5
to 7 minutes the entire window changes to the restored
size.

I've tried unloading loads of apps to see if its
something stealing the focus but I haven't found
anything close yet.

What could cause MPC 6.4.8.7 to change from being
fullscreen to being back to its restored size?

This happens no matter if I change it to fullscreen or
it starts in full screen, and even removing the
registry and .ini files hasn't done anything.

I imagine it's some other application, but any ideas?

Thanks guys!

Dug

Could you test this one? http://gabest.org/mplayerc.7z

You will see which other app steals the focus on mpc's
    status bar.

Wow! Thanks gabest, I'm impressed! :D

A wonderfully perfect answer - it 'restored' the window with
bdmcon.exe - which is the BitDefender Anti-Virus from SoftWin.

I've tried this, and it doesn't happen when BitDefender
    isn't running.

Strangly enough, it only seems to happen when my network
cable is unplugged; or my wireless reconnects...

I'm looking into this some more... :) - but have you any
    thoughts?

Thanks again! Fantastic bit of software, using VLC just
    isn't the same as MPlayer!

    Wicked! I think I might have found the problem;

Strangely I had BitDefender (which doesn't cause the problem
on its own), but I also had the updater for McAfee Antivirus.

I'm guessing it got installed at work because of our crappy
    Group Policies and stuff.

Once I'd killed 'UpdaterUI.exe', MPC seems to be working
    perfectly!

Thanks gabest! You're a top man!

    Thanks!!
