Hi I have reworked the dsp2cc script so that it now can produce c++ classes from the dsp files which include all functions to be used in a LV2 library. So now I have create a new gx_amp.lv2 library which provide all amp modules, all cabinets and all tonestacks to select from. I plan to remove all previous LV2 amps and replace them with the new implementation. True, the new implementation needs some love, special in the UI part, but it provide already a own UI for any amp model. Any meanings ??? greets hermann |

ok, the newer plugs work but the older one don't. on the older one: - the skin changes - tone does not change when changing tubes or amp model. - this is all the GxAmplifier. they're not changing in tone or sound. - I'm using all versions of Ardour and no difference.. Qtractor fails to launch for months now for me so I can't test that. Please run ./waf uninstall before you pull new git version, and then pull again, the new GXAmplifier now is named GXAmplifier-X, maybe there was a confusion for multi effect hosts, because I give the newest amp the same name then the oldest one. Please try first in a new session. could you try as well please with jalv.gtk jalv.gtk http://guitarix.sourceforge.net/plugins/gxamp#GUITARIX and post the output? Sounds strange to me, no probs here with ardour3 or qtractor, and I didn't heard about any issues with qtractor and the guitarix plugs before that, regardless if 32 or 64bit. It could be helpful when you build qtractor with debuging enabled and watch for a output in the terminal, for the case you reinstall guitarix. As well you can build guitarix without the ladspa plugs, to see if they case trouble for you: ./waf configure [your default options here] --no-ladspa --no-new-ladspa but again, all of them runs without trouble here and on many 64bit machines, so . . . it is definitely a new session and yes the right name for the new amps for showing up including the skins. it's just that the tones never change when I decide to change to a different amplifier or cabinet settings. it works with jalv but the sound is not that often amplifier it sounds more like a guitar pedal plugged directly into a mixing board which is very fuzzy something. Ardour 3 is finish, have test the new plug and it work like expected here. So it seems we have a 32bit versus 64bit issue here. I'm a bit concerned about it, because I have explicitly watched for not using any var which could introduce such trouble. It seems I must order a 64bit machine so that I could debug it at my own. to pity Am 13.03.2013 19:29, schrieb Harvey Lord: > > it is definitely a new session and yes the right name for the new amps > for showing up including the skins. it's just that the tones never > change when I decide to change to a different amplifier or cabinet > settings. > it works with jalv but the sound is not that often amplifier it sounds > more like a guitar pedal plugged directly into a mixing board which is > very fuzzy something. > > On 2013-03-13 2:09 PM, "hermann meyer" <bru...@we... > <mailto:bru...@we...>> wrote: > > I'm building ardour 3 now, hence it work here in qtractor and jalv > flawless and I will test it in ardour 3 if it is ready. > I can't stress it enough, test the new plug in a new session in > Ardour 3, > The plug name of the new amp is GxAmplifier-X > > > > Am 13.03.2013 16:58, schrieb Harvey Lord: >> ok this works: >> jalv.gtk http://guitarix.sourceforge.net/plugins/gxamp#GUITARIX >> Plugin: http://guitarix.sourceforge.net/plugins/gxamp#GUITARIX >> UI: http://guitarix.sourceforge.net/plugins/gxamp#gui >> JACK Name: GxAmplifier-X >> Block length: 128 frames >> MIDI buffers: 32768 bytes >> Comm buffers: 131072 bytes >> Update rate: 2 Hz >> using block size: 128 >> >> MasterGain = -15.000000 >> PreGain = -15.000000 >> Distortion = 20.000000 >> Drive = 0.250000 >> Middle = 0.500000 >> Bass = 0.500000 >> Treble = 0.500000 >> Cabinet = 10.000000 >> Presence = 5.000000 >> model = 0.000000 >> t_model = 1.000000 >> c_model = 0.000000 >> >> still not working in Ardour. the cab tones sounds fuzzy. not like >> a cab, just like a distortion box.. the amp tone is not there but >> the cab knob works... it just sound really fuzzy >> >> >> On Wed, Mar 13, 2013 at 10:06 AM, hermann meyer <bru...@we... >> <mailto:bru...@we...>> wrote: >> >> Please run ./waf uninstall before you pull new git version, >> and then pull again, the new GXAmplifier now is named >> GXAmplifier-X, maybe there was a confusion for multi effect >> hosts, because I give the newest amp the same name then the >> oldest one.
