Ok guys, I just finished Ranger, meaning we have three more professions needing work. I believe these are: * Ritualist * Elementalist * Assassin If you are assigned one of these or are doing nothing right now, I really need help with them. I'm spending time entering skills that could be spent on developing the application, which really slows everything down. We're getting close to having something usable, so I'd really like to get things moving. If you have any questions, feel free to send a message to me or the mailing list. Thanks! |

After much waiting, I've plugged Guild Builder into the new layout designed by SniperZ. The layout is looking pretty good, but now the fun part, fine-tuning and smoothing out :) I'd like to get everyone involved with the discussion, so please reply with ideas or additions. In terms of rough spots or higher priority things for SniperZ to take a peek at: * The banner image at the top left should be a link to the main page ("/"). I tried to add this but somewhere in your CSS links are getting a padding or margin that really made the banner look wonky. Rather than change it, I'll let you adapt your CSS how you'd like to. I hate to step on your toes. * We've talked about this before but link colors in the body need to be adjusted, or the background color. The current plugged in theme is nothing more than a rough draft, so this is definitely not a big deal :) * I plugged in my code to allow users to login via the upper right corner, you need to definitely style that for me. I had to add a submit button for it to work, it looks pretty bleh. We need to clean that up and add an image to take the place of the default submit button look. * The bottom gray area with the credits is hard to read and takes up a bit of real-estate. If we can shrink this down and condense it some, it'll look nice. I think it's shaping up really nicely and I'm excited about our new look. SniperZ, I need to get in touch with you about Subversion and getting you setup with it and our shell so you can edit and test in a live setting. I'll pester you on IM next time I see you. Everyone give this guy a cookie or a pat on the back :) |

For those of you doing skill entry, I need you to visit the site and create an account. Please reply with your username and I'll give you the privs you need to enter skills. I'll be discontinuing the 'demo' account soon since the account system is ready to rock. |

Ascendancy is fine for me. I helped with the skills too, just to clear that up. I'm throwing together a credits file that details who has helped with what so far. For those of you who are helping with something in the project, please reply with the name you'd like to appear on the credits file and what you helped with. You can see the current iteration at: http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/guildbuilder/guildbuilder/trunk/docs/credits?view=markup I know I'm missing the names of two skill entry people, so please do step forward. |

Greetings again, Let's go on ahead and try to finish up the rest of the skills this week. If you don't have anything to do and need something else to work on, check the task tracker under the Skills category and assign yourself another profession. There are only a few left and we're golden. The template is coming along nicely thanks to SniperZ, and we hope to get it live in its first incarnation soon. Look forward to that in the near future. I've been extremely busy for the first half of the week but should be around a bit more starting tomorrow. Please reply with any questions, this isn't just an announcements list (you can post to it too :). |

For the purpose of assigning tracker jobs and bug reports/feature requests, I encourage all of you to register in account on SourceForge (http://sourceforge.net). I can then add you to our project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/guildbuilder/) and can get you set up with whatever privileges your particular job requires. If you do sign up, please email me your username so I can get you added. Feel free to dig around on our project site and see what features we have available at our disposal. Not all of them are completely set up just yet, as we're not ready to use some of them, but the general idea is there. Thanks for the help! This coming week should be full of good stuff. |

Hello Developers, You are all on this mailing list because you are associated with the development of Guild Builder. If you would rather not be on this list, you should have received an email with subscription and unsubscription instructions, I will not hold it against you if you choose to do so :) There's a whole lot on the plate for the coming weeks. A lot of work is being invested in the skills database, the site theme, and the underlying code. Things will probably look markedly different by the end of the week, as development ensues. We're beginning to see some people step up and volunteer their time to help with the project, which is obviously great news for us! Consider this your generic "greetings" message from the project head. I'm here to answer questions, take suggestions, or talk about whatever regarding the project. Please feel free to contact me individually or over this mailing list (by replying to it). Thanks for your time! |
