Incidentally, GUIDO was never dead or even dormant - just not as publically visible as it should have been. But we expect a lot of activities over the next 1-3 years, as computer music activities at the University of British Columbia, one of the primary development centres (and home of two of the GUIDO originators, me and Keith Hamel), will ramp up. And of course with our friends at GRAME now majorly involved, things will be even better ...
