It's difficult to tell whether my problem is a bug or network issue. But I thought I would report it anyway just in case anyone else has experienced similar.
I have just installed the Gubed Server and Client on a Linux SUSE 10.2 server accessing accross LAN from Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger
Gubed Version 0.2.2
Protocol Version 0.0.12
PHP Version 5.2.0
Tokenizer Yes
Backtrace Yes
Server Apache/2.2.3 (Linux/SUSE)
Browser: Firefox 2.0.0.11
If there is a debugging problem resulting in a lock up or just loss of control of the client then I have to re-start both my browser and client app many times before I can reconnect
I repeatedly receive the following message in the log output:
Warning: Unable to bind to port 8016
I am clearing my cached pages and session cookies when I restart browser and have tried changing sequence of app. launch i.e. Gubed then FireFox and vice versa - it doesn't seem to make any difference I still get the warning.
It is correctly reporting the problem as if I try to start a debug session via the server I get an unable to connect from the server as well.
If i leave it alone for a few minutes between fails then eventually it manages a successful connection.
When I get a bit more time I will download Firefox plugin and see how that fares.
