[Gtkwave-users] Problem opening large GHW files

Hi guys,

perhaps you can help me with this problem.

I've a very large GHW file (about 700MB) which unfortunately cannot be open in gtkwave. After a few minutes loading and eating memory up to the 4GB limit, it
just stops:

GTKWave Analyzer v3.3.40 (w)1999-2012 BSI

FATAL ERROR: calloc_2() Out of memory, sorry.

I've searched for a solution for this, but have found none so far - there is no GHW file splitter, GHDL (the source) does not support starting dump at a time
different than "0", and the I really need to look at end of the waveform (where lies the problem with my design).

Any suggestions ? I've enough RAM for this, but I also know that userspace applications are limited to 4GB (at least on 32-bit, which is the case).
