Hi Tony,
I find GTKwave an absolute gem. Since it you collect feature requests - two I would find useful:
1) Configuration (save) files use an absolute path to reference "Translate Filter Files". I tend to move between machines working from the same repository so commit translate files, however the absolute paths to the filter files are not the same on each machine. Storing a relative path (to the save file) in the save file would keep the setup portable.
2) Add signal Data Format -> Fixed Point. Parts of my design use a fixed point representation (implied decimal point), eg. a decimal 10,000 basis. So decimal register value 10000 is 1.0, 11000 is 1.1, 100000 is 10.0 . Showing an unscaled decimal uses a lot of annotation real-estate and it's hard on the grey mater to decode. I know this can be achieved with an external filter process, but a built in would be lovely for those debugging DSP simulations to have it handy in the GUI rather than rig an external translator.
Hope interesting to consider even if never implemented :-)
Chris
I'll looked into Fixed Point variants in the future when I find the time. Right now, as much as I hate to say it, a short Perl script should be able to handle that. If you look in the current save files, there are [dumpfile] and [savefile] tags used to construct the appropriate relative paths.
Note that For #1 this should work--at least it does for me in Linux. Are you on Windows?

I managed to cut and paste into the wrong place in my earlier comment. You should get the idea of what I'm trying to say. :-)
The Zune focuses on being any Portable Press Player. Not a internet browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the foreseeable future itll do best of all in people areas, but for the time being its a fantastic way to organize and tune in to your audio and video tutorials, and is without peer in that regard. The iPods skills are its web surfing around and apps. If those sound a lot more compelling, perhaps its your most suitable choice.
