i installed from: tiemu-3.02a-win32-setup.exe
and then scanned my drive with avira antivir and got this:
Virus or unwanted program 'TR/Vundo.Gen [trojan]'
detected in file 'C:\Program Files\TiEmu\bin\tiemups.dll.
uhm, false positive? or did the file get corrupted on the server? i would compile from source to see if i still get the same warning but not exactly sure how.
anyone have any info on this possibly containing an infection?
Got the same warning also 29/09/2008.
Also using AntiVir.
Any other warnings?
Getting an adaware popup about the installer, of all things. I can't even run the damn thing!
Says its Win32.Trojan.Rozena
I am also getting a trojan alert. Using Kaspersky 2011. Tried to download TiEmu 3.03 for Windows. Cheers Shoka
We maintainers are not aware that there's a virus in that installer (and we'd certainly have had more complaints if there were), but we are aware that AV software can trigger false positives on various installers…
If you're _really_ worried about the TIEmu 3.03 installer, try the 3.04 Beta 1 one, published months ago for beta-testing on community message boards: http://lpg.ticalc.org/prj_tiemu/downloads/setup.exe :)
Hope that this helps,
It is not about the installer. It's the file:
tiemups.dll 13,5 KB (13.824 bytes)
What does it do?
