DownloadGTKTerm is a small graphical shell like XTerm. It provides serveral terminals in one window and some nice features. It´s available for GTK 2.x.

Although this project appears to be dead (last commit over six years ago) and has been removed from the Gentoo repositories, none of the suggested "more modern" alternatives get close to just doing the job right, which is what GTKTerm really has going for it, so I have a local ebuild to keep it in the system.
