The GtkStryk developers are proud to present GtkStryk 0.1.0. Now we have left
alpha stage and entered beta stage and we are quiet excited.
News in this release:
* Language selection dialog that pops up on first invocation.
* Colorful bars added to result presentation.
* Teamnames with special characters (like "Trinidad & Tobago") in the name now works.
* If name field of "experttippare" is empty set default name "Svenska Spel".
* Manually entered result row is now saved on exit and loaded on restart.
* Html docs updated to pass HTML 4.0 Transitional test (validator.w3.org).
What is GtkStryk?
GtkStryk generates rows for the swedish soccer pool
betting systems STRYKTIPSET and EUROPATIPSET. The
generated rows can be submitted to svenskaspel.se directly
from GtkStryk or saved to disk and submitted later with a
web browser.
You have to register for a "tipskort" betting card
at svenskaspel.se or an affiliated bookie (like
"Pressbyrån") to be able to use the online service.
It is also possible to manually write/print generated
rows to STRYK/EUROPATIPSET coupons, available at betting
stores.
One coupon row contains 13 matches and you decide for
each match, whether it will end in a (1) home win,
(X) draw or (2) away win.
USAGE
Start the program and select a game: Stryk or Europa.
Click on the "Update coupon" button to download this weeks round
from svenskaspel.se.
* Select a system. Mathematical system can have any number of hedges but
they can grow very big (big = expensive). UNA systems have a fixed number
of hedges and are "reduced systems".
* Fill the system frame with 1, X and 2 until you are satisfied. If you
are using an UNA system then you can right click on a hedge to select the
preferred hedge (U-tips). The system will take the U-tips into account
when generating the rows. If you don't select U-tips then 1 will be used.
Unless it is a X2 hedge, then 2 will be used as U-tips.
* Go to the filter tab and adjust the interval filter settings until you
are satisfied. You can also add any number of expert rows. Usually some
expert presents his/her row at svenskaspel.se and this row can be
automatically downloaded. Additional rows can be entered manually.
* Choose File->Generate to generate rows. A dialog box will pop up showing
some filter statistics. The number of rows that passed all filters are
displayed at the bottom. If you are not satisfied press Cancel and adjust
frame/filters. Repeat until satisfied. Then either save the rows or press
Submit and enter your "spelkort" number. This automatically submits the rows
to svenskaspel.se. If you don't have a "spelkort" you can get one from
svenskaspel.se or an affiliated bookie (like Pressbyrån).
During the game the current results can be downloaded from the "Correct rows"
tab. Just press "Update correct row". This will also update the statistics
to the right where you can see how many rows with 0-13 correct matches you've
got. Usually 10-13 correct matches means prize money.
