Being able to override the info would be helpful. I used a tool called albumart[1] to find coverart for a lot of my music. It did have a way to provide the search terms directly, and for some problem albums that was helpful. I was looking at the fetchcover dialog the other day and I wondered: Could the "Set Cover Art from _Web" button instead say "Search for Coverart". When clicked it would do a search, then open the dialog and display the results. Then the "Find New" button could be removed (and the need to replace it with "Next" :). Attached is a mockup of what the dialog could look like. Instead of using next and previous buttons, each downloaded cover could be displayed in a scrolling view. Selecting one and clicking "Set as Cover" would apply it. I didn't add a statusbar to the dialog. I think that the status and failure messages should be presented in a dialog of their own, where they can't be easily missed. I realize that this isn't a trivial suggestion. It would require reworking the fetchcover code a bit. But if the UI seems decent, it may be worth it. [1] I can't find the project anymore. It used to be at: http://kempele.fi/~skyostil/projects/albumart .
