But it does not unmount properly - the content just disappears (when using ifuse, I went into the directory where it was mounted, and it was empty). I "solved" it usually with unmounting (either via nautilus, or via fusermount -u /media/iPod, depending on how it was mounted) and it worked after wards again - mostly. In some cases (especially with gvfs), I could not even unmount any more and had to logout and in again. So it is not that the iPod is actually unmounting, but the content is disappearing.
