I used a recent git snapshot to try to add some songs to an A1320 Nano, and it was a bit of a disaster. I followed the instructions, including creating a backup copy of iTunesDB. Then I attempted to add an mp3 file. The mp3 file got copied to the Nano. After syncing, the Nano now says there are 0 songs. I looked around in /mnt/ipod/iPod_Control/iTunes, and apparently the iTunesDB file I backed per the documentation up is 1) empty, and 2) _not_used_ for anything. The file that _appears_ to matter is called iTunesCDB. There's a backup copy of that in ~/.gtkpod, but it's identical to the file on the Nano, so that isn't very useful: it's the same broken iTunesCDB file that gtkpod wrote to the Nano. All of the original Music files are still there in /mnt/ipod/iPod_Control/Music/fNN. How do I get the Nano to recognize them again? -- Grant |
