gtkpod-2.0.2.dc913d1 seems to work on my 64bit system. I haven't yet tried the 32bit system as it is not always available, but it will like work there too. I haven't tried everything I usually do either, but certainly the Music->Quit hang seems to be fixed... I just tried installing 2.0.1. I tried installing libxml2-2.7.8 first and apps linked against that seem complain about the version number not being present in libxml2. Googling about that showed that one must use 2.7.7 instead. So, I removed 2.7.8 and installed 2.7.7 (2.7.6 is what comes with Ubuntu LTS Lucid). Then that problem went away. Gtkpod builds fine on Lucid, but when I do Music->Quit Gtkpod just hangs. In the console window where Gtkpod was run is an error about a bad pointer passed to free(). I have to kill it with a -9 signal. No core file is left even though ulimits are set to allow core files. I have a 32 bit Lucid and another system that is 64bit running Lucid as well. The above scenario occurs with both systems. I went back to 2.0.0 until something more stable shows up. Harry McGavran -- Harry G. McGavran, Jr. E-mail: w5pny@... |

Oddly, it did not seem to affect test builds on Fedora 13/14 or Ubuntu Natty. No idea why. Might have to do a 2.0.2 release to rectify it ... I will do a 2.0.2 unstable to for the applied commit. Thanks for spotting it. Cheers PGR -- "I know exactly who reads the papers ... The Daily Mirror is read by people who think they run the country. Evening, I have just posted the 2.0.1 release. This attempts to address specific bugs and represents a final release before migration to gtk3 and libanjuta3. Thanks to everyone for their continuing contributions... Cheers PGR -- "I know exactly who reads the papers ... The Daily Mirror is read by people who think they run the country. Evening, 2.0.1 release candidate available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/gtkpod/files/gtkpod/gtkpod-2.0.1-unstable/gtkpod-2.0.1-rc1.tar.gz/download Bar any problems, I will release this at some point in the week and then concentrate on 2.1.0, coming from the gtk-3.0 branch. Kind of need to get both of these releases out since different distros are migrating to gtk3 at different rates. Cheers PGR -- "I know exactly who reads the papers ... Afternoon folks, Beta release of 2.0.1. https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/gtkpod/gtkpod/gtkpod-2.0.0-unstable/gtkpod-2.0.1-beta.tar.gz?r=&ts=1304265621&use_mirror=leaseweb Contains small incremental fixes. Should not present too many problems but let me know of any problems. Daniel: There might be the odd translation string to consider. Cheers PGR -- "I know exactly who reads the papers ...
