Hi, I'm working on simplifying the preferences system, and while I have most of the backend work done, but I have a question. Before the usage function, there's a usage_fpf macro. The comment for it says that we need to convert to locale character set before outputting to console, but I don't see it being used anywhere else in the program. Why is this necessary? Thanks, James Liggett |

Hi James, outputting to the console requires the local charset. Everywhere else in the program the output is to a GTK2 window, which requires UTF8 (there's a number of conversions for that, too: whenever the filename is concerned). Cheers, JCS.
