I noticed a problem resizing the column widths when the "beyond" option was off, it decreased the width of the column I tried to increase and increased the others. It does save them properly in my case, though.

In the same category, I get this

SVN revision 2195.
This error apparently means that the rating stars can not be displayed, which
indeed is the case.
The ratings show up in the "Edit track properties" dialog.
