Fwd'ing for all.
I do not have my Ubuntu box here (at workplace) but as far as I remember I could not find references for .po files in configure.in
I deleted all .gmo files and rename dtkpod.pot and ran autogen.sh having a new pt.po file; I guessed that as there were no direct reference then autogen would get all .po files under po/ directory into Makefile). However, pt.po was not included into the new generated Makefile.
I would appreciate any help for adding a new pt.po file into the building process.

I think it's in configure.in/.ac under 'LANGUAGES'. Then run ./autogen.sh again.
By the way: it would be best if your friend took care of both gtkpod and libgpod.

What's the difference between eating sugar (e.g. candy bar) and
eating carbon hydrates (let's say a loaf of bread)?
