Hi. I'm running libgpod and gtkpod to sync my ipod nano 5th gen. The libraries work just fine for almost all their duties, except when i transfer podcasts: they are transferred with no publication date. It gets annoying when I have twenty or thirty podcasts from the same transmission and i cannot get them in the right order.
I used to synchronize a 4th gen. ipod nano until few weeks ago, and it worked ok, so I think the 5th has some sort of different format for the date. If, after syncing, i plug the nano to a windows/itunes pc, the dates magically appear again.
Let me know if you need any debugging info, I'm totally newbie, but i'll try. (Kubuntu natty, libgpod 0.8 git 2010-10-30).
Bye.

If you let iTunes rewrite the database, the dates suddenly appear on the iPod.
