    I tried to use gtkmail, but after it starts it doesn't
    download the messages. I know the account-info is
    correct, because I use the same info in NS mail (which
    sux big time). Is there somewhere that gtkmail logs
    errors or something??
    I used the RPMS and made sure there were no
    indepedencies-errors. I use Redhat 6.2. Any idea??

    I need some more info.

    1. What protocol are you using (IMAP/POP)?
    2. Does gtkmail give an error when you try to download?
    3. What does your .gtkmailrc file look like (you can leave
    out the user/pass ;)

    1. POP3 through a Wingate-proxy (but it works with Netscape,
    so I dont really believe that would be the problem...)
    2. No message whatsoever. Only "Checking mail". It keeps on
    doing that fot about 10 minutes and at a certain point it
    bogs down the system noticably (and my system is a AMD600
    with 128MB RAM).
    3.
    MAIL_ADDR = Tim Stoop <t.stoop@ehrmweb.nl>
    MAIL_SERVER = 192.168.0.1 # my WinGate-proxy
    FOLDER_LIST_STYLE_FONT =
    -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-m-0-iso8859-1
    MESSAGE_LIST_STYLE_FONT =
    -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-m-0-iso8859-1
    MESSAGE_TEXT_STYLE_FONT =
    -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-m-0-iso8859-1
    USE_SENT_MAIL = true
    QUOTE_MAX = -1
    FETCH_TIMEOUT = 300
    FETCH_START = true
    FETCH_TYPE_0 = pop3
    FETCH_USER_0 = mylogin$pop.brunssum.net
    FETCH_PASS_0 = mypassword
    FETCH_HOST_0 = 192.168.0.1
    FETCH_ADDR_0 = t.stoop@ehrmweb.nl
    FETCH_DELETE_MESSAGES_0 = false
    USE_FILTER = false
    TOOLBAR_USE_TEXT = true

    And again, I dont think it is the proxy, because it works
    just fine with Netscape (but I hate Netscape, so I want to
    change to another program).

    Any help is very appreciated! :) So thanks in advance :)

    Kind regards,

    I also am having this problem. I have Redhat 6.2, installed gtkmail from RPM. When I start gtkMail from a terminal window, it displays the mail received in the terminal windows, but it never appears in my INBOX. Please help.
