Thanks to Samer Eberlin, Brazillians can use gtkedit in their own language. As a result, a new package has been created to include this and maybe future contributions.
Finally! the editor has been internationalized and the code is considered stable.
So there's no real reason to delay it any more.
Gtkedit 1.0 is out. Enjoy!
I just checked in the CVS repository the prototype internationalization code.
This is the second public beta release.
New in this version is the ability to save user settings, so you no longer need to edit the config file manually.
Most probably I will be adding no new features before 1.0 is released. Instead I will concentrate in translations.
Code to save user settings to a config file has been added to the CVS repository.
A new release will be made in the next days.
The project now has a proper home page, with links to the download section and an explanation of the whole thing.
Now that I have managed to undertand the File Release System, the first version is out. Still beta but fully usable.
The source code has been uploaded to CVS. You can download it from here.
Compilation instructions are included inside the code itself, and more
elaborated instructions are available in the documentation section of the
source forge project site.
A package will be uploaded to sourceforge as soon as I figure out how to do
it. ;-)
