I had a bit of trouble getting the newest Windows installer to work
with Haskell Platform and its ghc-6.10.3. What worked for me was
uninstalling the platform and reinstalling it to a path and that had
no spaces. Now, doing this once does not actually confirm that the
problem is with paths that have spaces in them, but they usually cause
problems in Windows. Before this the installer claimed my GHC
installation was not working, even though it was.
Now I have what seems to be a working gtk2hs-0.10.1 install on my
Windows box too.
Would anyone be willing to test this further or is the reason for
installer complaning already known? I'm not too eager to go through
any more installation rigmaroles right now, but seeing that the
question has come up a few times, it'd be nice to know whether the
installer woes in fact have anything to do with the Windows path space
