Thank you, for your reply…..even though i have set that environment variable it was not working.

Now I made a copy of libgstbase-0.10.so from /usr/lib/gstr … to my installation library. Now its working …..

Hi, you must set GST_PLUGIN_PATH environment variable. This variable points to directory where your addition plugins installed, for example if your plugins were installed in /lib directory, then you must do this on your system where you want to lauch gstreamer:
 'export GST_PLUGIN_PATH=/lib' . You can read gst-launch manpage for other envirinment variables.

Hi all,

I followed the steps provided to install GStreamer as in the below site.




After install if I do gst-inspect filesrc me getting this below error.


(gst-inspect-0.10:20020): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plug-in '/... /lib/gstreamer-0.10//libgstcoreelements.so': /../lib/libgstbase-0.10.so.0: undefined symbol: gst_query_parse_buffering_range


I am able to load libraries installed in my machine. But not what ever I will install. Please help me….me trying to install GStreamer from last 3 months…..
