#4 System Tray Transparency
The system tray icon shows a white background in Ubuntu 10.10; The cause may be a bug in gnome-panel.
This patch changes gSTM to use GtkStatusIcon for it's system tray, rather then eggtrayicon. A slightly modified patch (to accommodate other patches in the debian/ubuntu package of gSTM) has been submitted downstream under launchpad bug #729499
Removes eggtrayicon, adds GtkStatusIcon
I should clarify, using GtkStatusIcon for the system tray icon restores transparency to the icon. gnome-panel doesn't like eggtrayicon for some reason.
