This is about using this wonderful program for actual simulations (as opposed to helping with its development -- I am feeling quite a bit selfish and apologetic for not being able to help with the development and only wanting to start using the program, to which its authors have dedicated so much time and effort).
HERE IS MY POINT:
I would like to use GNU Spice GUI in my hobby work for some simulations, but I cannot code sufficiently well in C++/C/C# in order to be able to compile its code under Windows -- in fact I do not have a proper development environment for C++/C/C# on any of the machines that I own and I have not compiled a C++/C program for ages (I am an expert in VBA/VB/PB and other antiques, but I have limited C++/C/C# understanding).
For this reason, I am wondering whether there are other engineers like me (perhaps experts in their own field, but not proficient enough in C++/C/C#), who would like to use GNU Spice GUI and for whom the barrier of needing to compile it is too high. If this is so, would it merit the effort to put on this project the compiled binaries for Windows? Conversely, if this is inappropriate (e.g. if putting the binaries here would dilute or pollute this project), then would it merit the effort of creating a separate project in which just to keep the compiled binaries? (I have never created a project under SourceForge because I cannot develop software, but in this case I will be willing to donate my time and help with creating such a project and if need be also help with administering it, provided that there is someone who will be willing to donate the binaries).
All help is welcomed and will be appreciated, and many thanks in advance for any comments.
Kind regards,
an RF Engineer
P.S. Aplogies for the "No Subject" topic -- it had a subject "Binaries for Windows", but somehow this got dropped while posting (there was a "Spam Bot Protection Engaged" error, and then after it cleared the subject line was left empty (unfortunately I noticed this only after clicking on the "POST" button). If someone has the admin rights to do this, please change the topic to "Binaries for Windows".
