-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, just wanted to inform you that the upcoming version (might be 0.6.4) has a new parameter --charset (-c) that changes the phones character set. This may be important for users whose own language's characters are not part of the GSM character table. The output produced by scmxx does not change but a button (or something like this) would make sense. One addition, though: this is a permanent setting! To get a list of the charsets (with description), you can use scmxx --charset=list or scmxx --charset=? that will look like this: - ----------snip------------ $ ./scmxx --charset=? Accessing device /dev/ttyS0 OK, a modem device is present. Available character sets: GSM GSM default charset (7bit) UCS2 UCS-2 Unicode charset (16bit) - ---------snip------------- BTW: All phones from Siemens (at least >35) have the _same_ output (except the used port), not sure for the S25, though. Also, you want to make sure that you really have the -o parameter mentioned to get any output (I did not look at gscmxx if it does or not). There might still be other addition but it will not be released this year ;) Anyway: I hope you all had a good year and will have a good next year :) Hendrik PS: I admit that 0.6.3* was a really buggy thing... - -- Mein GPG-Key ist auf meiner Homepage verfügbar: http://www.hendrik-sattler.de oder über pgp.net PingoS - Linux-User helfen Schulen: http://www.pingos.schulnetz.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.0 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+D+ZEzvr6q9zCwcERAqMyAKCIDALNhm8dvoEtuSEu/b5YKBE4gwCfepVD NwTwGNX0wqSGDzZb2Exix2M= =S0vU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
