Although I prefer the YYYY-MMM-DD format, it's only good for English speaking countries. You'd probably want the ISO-8601 YYYY-MM-DD format.

    Err... Do you mean the date field in the PDF metadata dialog? That is already YYYY/MM/DD.

    How the PDF viewer displays it is down to the viewer.

    Yes, I was thinking of the metadata.

    I was thinking more strict ISO-8601 compliance, which would include:
    * leading zeros (not like today's date of 2007/6/27, but 2007-06-27)
    * '-' separator
