Welcome to Grow IEP. Grow IEP is an open source IEP management solution based on the Illinois state documents. This project was create by DuPage High School District 88.

Grow IEP is released as a virtual machine image that contains the operating system (Ubuntu 12.04), the web server (Tomcat), web application and database (Mysql). Please note that the Grow IEP virtual machine is NOT updated often, maybe once every 2 years. This is because the virtual machine comes configured with a repository that will upgrade the application to the latest version. So even though the VM might seem 'old', the application will be updated regularly to the most recent version of Grow IEP.

Project Scope

Grow IEP attempts to:

• be able to connect to your SIS system.
• store additional student related IEP information with students.
• create, manage and archive various required documents over time.
• stay in sync with the state's IEP documents available it at http://www.isbe.net/spec-ed/html/forms.htm#iep
• be elegant and easy to use.

The documentation is by no means complete yet. Please check back often for updated information or post a question is the forums.
