#3 Improve launch efficiency
Right now GE computes a lot of stuff on startup.
It would be good to store the time and result of such computations in a cache on disk, and on startup, compare those computations to the .group files on which they were based. If the computations are newer than the files, don't recompute, just load from the file. This would speed launch time a lot.
