Group-Office 2.18 is released

We are proud to announce Group-Office Professional 2.18. Most of the changes of this release are in the Professional version.

Online file management
We created a new Java Webstart program that makes file management easier for you.
When you edit a text document on your PC it will automatically save the document in Group-Office for you.
When you open a file a small program will load in the system tray that will monitor files for you. When they are modified it will send it back to Group-Office. It's that simple but it makes life much easier!

Mailing lists
We made sending e-mailings to large address lists easier for you. We brought back the old mailing list feature and improved the new mailing list feature that supports exporting to your favourite text editor too.

Group-Office supports the latest Funambol 6 clients now. These clients offer much better support for Outlook and Pocket PC.
There's also a Funambol client for Mozilla Thunderbird. We don't officially support it yet but you are welcome to test this feature on 2.18 and send us your experiences!

Helpdesk module
There's also a new helpdesk module. It does not allow your customers to enter tickets directly. It is intended for internal use. An administrator can create tickets for particular users or departments. They get a popup or e-mail notification when new open tickets are created for or by them. The history of all tickets are stored with the tickets and can easily be searched on with the global search function. Customers can also be notified automatically of a tickets' status.
