Dear Alex: Your GPREDICT seems to work quite well! I recall Sputnik 1, launched 1957 Oct. 04 d, and monitored (carrier frequency at ~ 19.995 MHz) a Chinese satellite over Montreal, Quebec, Canada, circa 1970. Then, as a Grad. Student at Lakehead University, VE3LUE, Thunder Bay, ON, Canada, I helped generate AOS & LOS data for OCSCAR 6 (?), circa 1973 (ref.: Dr. Perry Klein, AMSAT, Washington, DC). The 144 MHz (2 meter) beacon died shortly thereafter, I seem to recall. I worked at the GPS MCS, Falcon (now Schriever) AFB, CO, circa 1988. I now do lots of Math. & Astronomical Computing here in Austin, TX, as a hobby. So, if you could put me in contact with a couple of Satellite Amateur Radio Operators here in Austin, TX, that would be great! Thank you, Joseph Roy D. North E: jos...@gm... Scientia est Potentia! |
