Sounds like some satellite data or maybe even whole TLE files are missing.
The TLE files are placed under $HOME/.gpredict2/tle/
If you use a recent version, you can browse the message logs via File->Log Browser
The logfiles are located in $HOME/.gpredict2/logs/
If that doesn't give any useful hints I would try one or more of the following:
(1) Delete $HOME/.gpredict2/tle/* - this will reset your TLE to the ones that were distributed with gpredict.
(2) Delete $HOME/.gpredict2/modules/*.mod - this will delete ALL your modules
(3) Fully reset the user configuration by removing the whole $HOME/.gpredict2/
