This is one of the last packages still hard depending on dead vte0. It would be nice if it could be ported to vte2.91 or, if too hard, to allow to optionally disable the component requiring it. It seems it's required only by src/status_window.c

Provide a patch that does that, and I'll check it.
Having checked with the Fedora maintainer who provided a few patches himself, I've discovered that it's not as simple as using a newer vte package. Grip depends on GTK2, whereas vte2+ depends on GTK3.
This means the code need a rewrite to use GTK3, and I don't have the skills to do that.

vte0 was completely removed by a patch from the fedora maintainer, in version 4.0.0 released in october 2019.
