Hi Jonathan, You are probably using the packet network in which each file is divided into packets of, AFAIK, 64KB each. Each of the packets is an entity so the number of objects exponentially increases. You could use the latest GridSim (4.2) which is supposed to have flow networking in which each data transfer is represented as a flow or you can make the packet size equal to the file size. Another choice is to hack in a flow transfer by making the recipient get only 2 packets ,one at the start of a file and one at the end sent after a delay equal to size of file divide by bandwidth.
