[GridSim-users] How can i simulate file transmission

Hello everyone:

         I am a newer to gridsim. I wonder if I can simulate a file transmission use this toolkit. For example, if a file is very big , so its transmition will take much time ,how can i simulate this ?

Hi,
    First, set up the desired network topology. Using InfoPacket in
GridSim determine the bandwidth of the link you want to send the file
through. Compute the total time required for sending the file with
that bandwidth (total_time=size/bandwidth). Send the first packet of
the file and then send the last packet of the file after total_time.
You will have to write your own methods to do this though.
