Hi good morning,
I am working on the DataGrid package, specifically, I am trying to add some new
functionalities to the DataGridResource class in order to perform some replica
management in a more dynamic fashion.
Basically, I would like to do things like: once a DataGridUser A asks for a file
to a certain DataGridResource Z, Z performs a file access pattern exploitation
that predicts some future file accesses and replicates the corresponding files
to its corresponding ReplicaManager.
But I'm encountering a problem that I can't resolve: the simulation ends before
these extra operations in the DataGridResource finish.
GridSim seems to only permit DataGridUsers to perform such get/replicate
operations, so that, although the Z DataGridResource has not finished yet, the
entities are terminated and the simulator becomes stalled.
Any suggestions/ideas?
