Version 2.2 Release Candidate

The release candidate for Version 2.2 is available at the downloads page.
Version 2.2 is the baseline model for the US DOE's Smart Grid Investment Grant (SGIG) technology impact analysis, completed by PNNL in 2011. This version is expected to become the latest stable release in early September.

Version 2.1 RC2 release

Version 2.1 Release Candidate 2 was release on November 18, 2010. This release will become the stable release on December 1, 2010 if no further significant issues are uncovered by then.

User/developer's meeting June 24-25, 2010

A meeting of the users and developers will be held in Richland, Washington on June 24 and 25, 2010. Upcoming GridLAB-D class June 21-23, 2010

A GridLAB-D course has been schedule for June 21-23, 2010 in Richland, Washington. Space is very limited and priority is being given to interns and subcontractor on DOE projects this summer. Contact Kim Chamberlin (kim.chamberlin@pnl.gov) to request a seat.

Wholesale Power Market Project started

The wholesale power market project has been started at Iowa State University. Under the leadership of Prof. Leigh Tesfatsion, ISU will integrate the AMES wholesale power market test bed with GridLAB-D. GridLAB-D Version 2.0 is here!

Attention GridLAB-D community! PNNL is excited to announce the release the GridLAB-D Version 2.0 for Window 32-bit machines. The following capabilities GridLAB-D Version 2.0 are now available:

>> Residential end-use models for major electric and gas appliances, as well as electric vehicle chargers.
>> Distribute system models, including controls and equipment.
>> Distribution level markets for real-time pricing and price-based control.
>> External links to Excel, ODBC, and gnuplot.
>> Support for the 24 Modern Grid North American taxonomy feeders.
>> Validation against other end-use models and standard distribution analysis tools.
>> End-use load shedding technology.
>> Industrial and agricultural loads.
>> Load and population growth models.
>> Built-in loadshape and schedules.
>> Embedded runtime code

GridLAB-D repository activated on SourceForge

On January 21 at 5:00 PM PST, the SourceForge repository for GridLAB-D became the primary version control host. The repository at PNNL will be transitioned to a shadow repository for use by PNNL staff only. All project contributors must now obtain updates from http://gridlab-d.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/gridlab-d.
