Running: Gretl 1.7.9 on Mac OS X 10.5.6

I loaded the klein database klein.gdt and did a Model, Ordinary least squares.
Regression of C on P Wp Wg

I wanted to save the result to a file (as plain text): File, Save As and checked the plain text checkbox.
After clicking OK, Gretl issued the error message

"Invalid byte sequence in conversion input"

Berend Hasselman

The command log shows:

open /Applications/Gretl.app/Contents/Resources/share/gretl/data/misc/klein.gdt
ols C P Wp Wg

What is your language setting? That is, what is the content of the
    environment variable LANG?

    In .profile I have set

    export LANG=en_GB

(Mac OS X is set to English)
