Recent changes to 72: frequency plot documentation doesn't identify gamma paramshttps://sourceforge.net/p/gretl/bugs/72/2008-08-07T23:36:44Zfrequency plot documentation doesn't identify gamma params2008-08-07T23:36:44Z2008-08-07T23:36:44ZAnonymoushttps://sourceforge.net/u/userid-None/https://sourceforge.net02827474fcd1d3391464541b2dd5c21ad0fb13e7The help documentation and Gretl manual documentation for Variable->Frequency plot don't mention which of the two parameters for the gamma distribution is the shape, and which of the two is the scale.
For example, when I graphed a frequency plot of some of my data against a gamma distribution, the plot window displayed "gamma\(15.632,3.8047\)". But none of the documentation tells which parameter is first. Also, according to the Wikipedia article on gamma distributions, gamma distributions are frequently characterized by either the scale or the inverse of the scale \(the "rate"\), so the documentation needs to mention which one gretl is using.
