Hi, I am trying to generate metrics from a database query but need to exclude several results from the graph. When I try to do nested exclude statements it reaches a point where it won't generate the graph anymore so I suspect I am reaching an upper limit of the number of functions one can nest. highestCurrent(exclude(exclude(exclude(exclude(exclude(exclude(exclude(exclude(exclude(exclude(exclude(DB.INC.GROUP.*,'NOC'),'DEPT-H'),'DEPT-B'),'TX-NOC'),'Core-NOC'),'DEPT-N'),'RAN-NOC'),'IP-NOC'),'NOC-A'),'NOC-P'),'NOC-M'),5 Anyone know of a better way to do this ? graphite version is 0.9.15-1 on ubuntu 16.04 -- Regards, Eric Magutu |

Hello, I’m working with an employer that is looking to hire someone to fulfil a permanent DevOps-type position at their office in Tokyo. Japanese language is not required; only English. Consequently I had hoped that some members of this mailing list may like to discuss further; off-list. I can be reached using "JamesBTobin (at) Gmail (dot) Com". Kind regards, James |

Hello, Using statsd I can have a "unique_users" metric, which tells me how many unique users were active in my website in a given time interval. However, that data seems to be insufficient in order to aggregate the unique users in a different time interval. For instance, if I have 10 unique users on timeslice A and 7 unique users on timeslice B. The number of unique users during the timeslice A+B is not 17. How do I solve that problem? I could create a metric for each user, but that seems to be too slow (I tried with 7000 users and it was too slow, in my case it will be much more than that). []'s Rafael |

I started looking at using this package just one day ago. First question i have is how to add custom functions to the render functions? Is that even possible? Second question is it possible to use a different data store, such as level db? Regards, Reza |

The Gestalt System project aims to develop a free, Open Source, object-oriented software framework which makes use of other free, Open Source software tools for the purposes of managing, analysing, and reporting on quantitative data in a manner which is suited to modern, networked computing environments in which processor, memory, and storage resources are abundant but time is scarce and requirements are forever changing. The Gestalt System may be of particular interest to Graphite users and developers because we hope to use Graphite to provide some of the graphing functions required by the project. Full details of the project proposal can be found in the Gestalt System Manifesto which is available at http://gestalt-system.sourceforge.net We welcome any comments or suggestions you may have on the project proposal - please send them to ges...@li... You might want to subscribe to this list or to the low-volume gestalt-system-news list in order to receive announcements. Please see the project Web page at http://gestalt-system.sourceforge.net for details of how to subscribe. If you wish your feedback to be kept private, you can respond to the authors of the project proposal: Tim Churches at tc...@bi... and Karsten M. Self at km...@ix... Please note that the Reply-To address of this message is set to ges...@li... which means that your reply will by default be distributed to all subscribers to this list. You may wish to change the address to tc...@bi... and/or km...@ix... if you prefer that your reply remain confidential. Regards, Tim Churches (tc...@bi...) and Karsten M. Self (km...@ix...) |

Hello all, The Graphite project has been moved to sourceforge.net. Version 0.2 is available as a release and as a cvs module. I have also set up a mailing list there and moved the Graphite web-page to sourceforge. Anyone interested in taking over this project please let me know. I currently can no longer contribute. Check out the new site: http://Graphite.sourceforge.net Thanks, Michelle -- ======================================= | Michelle Mills Strout | | University of California, San Diego | | Computer Science graduate student | | http://www.cs.ucsd.edu/~mstrout | ======================================= |
