Hi when I try to convert a pdf file in windows to a jpg or whatever graphicsmagick crashs.
I've tried the -debug switch with following result: "gm convert: Request did not return an image."
Is there a way to find out what's happening?
Regards
Vlad

Do you have Ghostscript installed on your system? If so, what version (I seem to have 9.02 here)?
Ghostscript is definitely needed to read PDF.

By "crash" do you mean that a Windows dialog comes up that says the app did something bad and would you like to report it to Microsoft, or do you mean something else?

    Use

    gm convert -verbose file.pdf file.jpg

to see how Ghostscript is being executed.

    Use

gm convert -debug exception file.pdf file.jpg

to see the detailed location of any reported exception.

I should mention that since GraphicsMagick binaries are 32 bit, you must install a 32-bit build of Ghoscript. A 64-bit build would not work.

    Hi
Thanks for your answer meanwhile I found the problem, I had a 64-bit version of Ghostscript installed.
    Thxs again for the support.
